More Marshmallows

Yes, I made marshmallows. I boiled and beat, patted and sliced, and tossed them in toasted coconut.
Yes, they were amazing.
I just picked up ingredients to make another batch, this time with vanilla bean. Danny comes from a long ancestral line of marshmallow aficionados (me not so much), so we're taking this homemade marshmallow step very seriously.

There's the story -and recipe- coming sometime soon. Things have been a little nuts around here, (see my previous post).

This weekend I'm getting ready for Mateo's 2nd birthday and the 45 guests that will join us for the event. The little fellow went through a lot last year and we want to celebrate him and his life.

The menu is still TBD, but one thing I know, there will be hot cocoa with homemade marshmallows.

Yeah! I'm so glad you made them. I remember you telling me you hadn't ever made them about a year ago. I love making marshmallows, all different flavors. Just made regular heart shaped ones for my nieces and nephews for Valentines!

Those look delicious. I haven't made marshmallows myself yet, but I think they are steadily moving up my list of things to try to make at home. Looking forward to the recipe!

I think you've just inspired me to make another batch... instead of coating them all in coconut, though, I think I'll do a variety of coatings, for those that aren't keen on coconut, toasted or not.

I hope you are able to get some reprieve soon from your hectic schedule. And, I'm so happy that Mateo is doing well.

Those marshmallows look delicious. I love the idea of coating them in coconut.

WOW!

This look really yummy and I'm not a big fan of marshmallows! I'm going to have to try this recipe now as they look really scrummy!

Thanks!
